Learn and Serve Virginia Grant

This website was made possible through a grant from Learn & Serve Virginia. The purpose of the LSV competitive grant was to integrate the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) in grades 6-12 with Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEE) and partnerships in an effort to increase environmental stewardship through service learning. Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.
